Explore in High Definition (HD)

The highest flexibility: wide field of view for searching, detailed display at any magnification for confident object identification

New thermal sensor HD 1024×768 @ 12 µm

The Merger LRF XL50 offers the next level of thermal imaging experience. The image produced by the new 1024×768 pixels thermal sensor features high definition and rich detail. It is ideal for uncompromising identification of any object. The silhouettes, anatomy & behavioral characteristics of the animal are well visible and distinct.

High image detail throughout the 2.5-20x magnification range

2.5-20x variable magnification provides improved focus and better overall object recognition at significant distances. The HD sensor allows a high level of image detail to be maintained throughout the zoom range. The zoom changes either incrementally in 2x steps or continuously for a customized FOV/magnification ratio for each specific situation.

Wide Field of View

The Merger LRF XL50 offers a wide field of view for easy scanning and locating. Explore landscapes in HD quality with a wide 14-degree FOV and optimal 2.5x magnification. The large format sensor enables best-in-class FOV/zoom ratio even at high zoom levels, up to 20x.

Extremely long detection range

The powerful objective lens combined with the professional level HD 12 µm / 1024×768 pix thermal imaging sensor provides excellent detection capabilities. A typical 1.8 m high object can be detected at a distance of 2300 m in total darkness.

Classic design of binoculars

The Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars are built with the classic design of day binoculars. With a small form factor, these thermal imaging binoculars fit comfortably in the hand, but still offer attractive exterior aesthetics and exemplary ergonomics. The six function buttons are placed in the comfortable access zone and the most frequently used functions of the digital device are activated with a single touch.

Comfortable viewing experience with both eyes

The optical design of Merger LRF binoculars fully takes into account the nature of human vision. It is natural for a human to receive visual information through two visual channels simultaneously. Viewing with two eyes is less tiring than viewing with one. This means better detection of small or faint objects and better performance in low-contrast scenarios than similar monocular thermal imagers of the same technical level. The intraocular distance in the Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable from 62 to 74 mm according to the individual characteristics of each user.

Accurate laser rangefinder with a measuring distance of 1000 m

Understanding target distance is a key factor in making the right decisions. A built-in laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1 kilometer allows you to measure distances in single measurement and continuous scan modes with an accuracy of ± 1 meter for quick and error-free situation assessment.

Combined dual battery system

The Merger LRF XL50 is powered by two rechargeable batteries: one is built-in with a capacity of 4 Ah, while the other is replaceable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A simple charge guarantees a long battery life. The relief on the body of the replaceable battery to precisely determine the correct position makes it possible to quickly and confidently replace an empty battery with a new one in total darkness by touch.

3 levels of sensitivity enhancement

The selection of the signal amplification level combined with new filtering algorithms with fine brightness and contrast settings offers the hunter great possibilities for observation at a long distance in different weather and temperature conditions. The gain setting helps to define the trophy characteristics of the animal and ensures that the objects and background in the field of view are rendered cleanly.

Stream Vision 2. Wi-Fi integration with iOS and Android devices

Built-in Wi-Fi connects the Merger LRF to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This opens up a wide range of options, including wireless device software updates, real-time image transmission from the device to its display smartphone, posting on social media the photo and video content captured by the device or transferring to messengers, remotely controlling the functions of the digital device and accessing the latest Pulsar news. Additionally, registered users get 16GB of cloud storage for photos and videos captured with the device.

IPX7 waterproof submersion rating

IPX7 waterproof to protect against heavy rain, snow or other precipitation. The unit is designed to function flawlessly, even after being submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

Germanium lens with fast aperture F50/1.0

The Germanium F50/1.0 lens features high infrared transmission in the LWIR region. Thanks to the high-precision construction of the lens optics, the image produced by the thermal imaging sensor of the Merger LRF binoculars is distinguished by its sharpness and detail.

Built-in photo and video recorder

Merger LRF has a built-in video recorder. The internal memory of the Merger LRF can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. One press of a button is enough to take a photo of an interesting scene or start recording a video. The material is copied to a computer hard drive via a USB-C port. The owner of the Merger LRF gets 16 GB of free disk space to store the photos and videos captured with the device in the Pulsar cloud storage. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile app, log in and connect the device to a smartphone via Wi-Fi.

High contrast HD AMOLED screens

While Merger's HD AMOLED displays provide a sharp, rich contrast and vivid color field of view, AMOLED technology ensures a flawless, fluid, high-resolution image and energy savings.

Operation in extreme temperatures -25 to +50°C

The housing, power unit, optics and electronics of the Merger LRF are designed for use over a wide temperature range. Merger ensures reliable and efficient performance in freezing conditions down to -25°C.

Durable magnesium alloy housing

Merger LRF is designed for continuous, often harsh use. The magnesium alloy housing is light and strong at the same time. The housing reliably protects the internal components of a thermal imaging device from shocks, drops, moisture, heat or cold. At the same time, a metal housing effectively removes heat from the electronics and increases the consistency of the device's operation during long-term observation.

Support dual band 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi waves

In Merger LRF thermal imagers, the standard smartphone connection frequency range via a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel is supplemented with an effective range of 5 GHz. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, faster data transfer rate, immunity to noise and improved connection stability, resulting in more productive and easier smartphone thermal imager operation.

A choice of 8 color palettes

A choice of 8 color palettes allows the user to observe their field of view more efficiently, allowing them to optimize the unit for specific tasks as well as react to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot colors are optimal for detecting objects, while Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase the chances of recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet are best suited for long-term observation at night.

Proximity sensor for covert use

Observing in the dark requires you to be hidden so that hunted animals are not alerted to your presence. Going into standby mode using the Screen Off function is a common way to prevent backlighting from the eyepieces. To simplify this task the Merger LRF has a built-in proximity sensor.
Acts as a screen switch to prevent backlight exposure in the dark. When the unit is out of sight, the proximity sensor turns off both screens, and when the unit approaches, both screens turn on, offering excellent image quality.
